was happy, now sad

So i had just come from a decent D&D session and was feeling pretty good. The Eberron setting is neat and the group has a good vibe. I rolled a disturbing number of hits and crits on Ryan. Overall everyoneseemed to have fun.

Then I cam home. I just got word from my mother that two old friends just passed away. One named Jack Bolgeo, was a very pleasant man I met through hsi mildly better known Uncle Timmy Bolgeo. Mom did not say how he died but he was a kind man with an easy smile and the world is poorer for his loss.

The next which I am sure at least some of you know was Charlie or Charles Grant. he was a writer of some repute in horror and fantasy. He was one of many men I went to listen to him talk of writing and what it was about. I can remember him from chattacon and Libertycon. To many he was not one of the writers you talk about in awe cause you want to be like him. He was Charley. That guy who hit on my mom alot. The pleasant old lech of a man who made me laugh. I can remember having dinner with him and several other people and he mentioned he had doubts about taking on writing an X-files novel as he did not know if the show was all that good. Dont get me wrong i knew he was a good writer. it was was just to many he was part of that broad family that was con going fandom when I was growing up.

Here is to you Charley.
Here is to you Jack.

safe travels to your rest. You will be missed.

Not sure we actually knew Jack. I think you are confusing him with Bobby, who we do know and is still kicking about in Pensacola for all I know.
