So I went to my first larp event in several months. It was also the first time since i started working out. I had more bounce in the fights so I am happy with that and the costuming fit better.
Sadly I was a bit of an idiot and failed to remember my CPAP machine when I was packing for the event. The weekend was therefore sans the joy of real sleep. I will not make that mistake again. I over slept on sunday so was slow to get up and go do the site marshal thing. I apologize to those who might expect better of me. I also failed to wake up at the alarm this morning because I was so wiped from the weekend.
I am happy with the event. I went in not really certain what to expect. The event was an excellent close to the major story that we have dealt with for the past several years. Laurie had an awesome channel raw prophesy moment at feast even with the phone. The whole coronation and prophesy and confrontation with Gadarion was freaking amazing. I got to meet lots of new and interesting characters. I got to have some bad ass moments and feel like i had achieved a measure of respect as Piotyr. I had to say goodbye to more friends in play. That is rough on Piotyr and me as a player in someways. You make your character and he comes to life from your interactitions. When the people you interacted with disappear then it makes it hard to stay the same character you were before. I will not be able to have the same sence of humor with out Tomo around to bounce off of. I did have a couple of reasons come up to keep playing Piotyr. One thuroughly complicates his life. Another may involve helping some Andyshmen with an epic level quest. TRuth is I still enjoy playing Piotyr and so I will continue playing him for a while despite my original notions of retiring him. He is not a finished story it seems and I will play him till he is. He will be around.
As to my other character concept I will eventually play Hugo. I am guessing at a dechaine venue if we have one of those again. I like the concept to much to shelve him forever.
