So on to the less controversial.
So there are some iconic roles in boffer larps. I have played a number of them.

Utility Rogue(Mortimer Underhill)
The Archer(Angus McPhereson)
The mage's mage(Reginald Smythe)
The Battle Mage (Reginald Smythe)
The two weapon killing machine(Saul)
The Skill and brewing based healer(Piotyr)
The fop(Reginald and Hugo)
The duelist (Hugo)

I have used the following weapon styles on PC's.
Two weapon
Florentine
double dagger
Axe and dagger
Glaive
Shovel
Bow

What Should I do the next time I make a character is the question?

You seem to be missing assassin (NOT everyone's cup o' tea), fortune teller/mystic, mentalist/mind control, and pretty much all of the production skills-based paths. I think thrown weapon is the best weapon skill out there.

Angus was sort of a fortune teller as one of his claims to fame was his insanely powerful divining ability.

Mentalist could be fun.

I have not been the production character. I would need more than just production to make it interesting. Selling stuff is only so interesting in itself.

Assassin has been entertained by me. It is a hard line to walk though between I am an assassin and i am an asshole, but it is a kind of cool that could be fun to play if done right.

I have little luck with thrown weapons. I have seen them ignored once to often and the whole loosing them in the dark thing is annoying. Archery has that problem as well though.
