Before I go to bed i will share something I love. I am a fan of Babylon 5. Yes it has many of the standards many love in scifi. Space battles and mighty heroes pervade it. I like those things about it. What I really love about it is that it was kind of a long exploration of faith, philosophy, purpose, joy and hate. Yes the dialog is not natural. It is epic. People don't talk this way. People write this way maybe. People will give speeches but people don't talk this way. It doesn't matter. I still love it. Maybe I wish people spoke of things of reason and faith more often. I kind of wish people were better at speaking about things like that. I kind of wish people wanted to be wiser. It doesn't matter.
Here is a sampling of wisdom from G'Kar, one of the more interesting characters on the show. Sadly the actor who played him has passed on a while back. He definitely invested the character with some real heart.
